BYU’s Free Online Personal Enrichment Courses
Honesty: Of or being honest, which is the avoidance of guile, deception. Also to faithfully accept one’s responsabilities.
This was one of the first assignments I received while taking class PDEV 76 — Honesty, one of the free online (no credit) mini-courses available at elearn.byu.edu. The assignment was to write our definition of what honesty means to us.
This mini-course was really just a single lesson long, but it surprised me how long it took to read the different texts and get through it.
My first class I took through elarn.byu.edu was College Algebra which I took last year to meet my math requirements at UVSC.
Besides the free classes, there are some non-credit personal enrichment courses with small fees, and there are several distance learning college credit classes as well as high school classes.
This Monday I met with a new client who is very successful, and he shared how he doesn’t watch TV either (I think we all know someone that’s very successful that watches little TV) and he’s right that it wastes a lot of time we could be DOING STUFF. So I thought hmmm what to do with my time?
Take a look and see if any of their online courses, free or otherwise, interest you.
