Progress

Friday ran 5 miles in 1 hour 30 seconds. That’s the farthest I’ve ever run.

Improvement

I guess it’s time to run 4s and 5s instead of 3s and 4s. Monday I ran 4 miles - although it did take me 49:09. Part of the reason is that these kids kicked a ball up onto the track and I had to chase it down, run back and return it, then run again. But still I think I would have been a half minute over my goal of 48 even.

I want to use Google maps and map out a morning run, then start doing my running in the mornings - and make it an every day thing. That’d be awesome.

Anyways if I can run 5 miles as a maximum this week, then I’d have two more weeks until I can run a 10k (since I’m already signed up for the 5k for the 28th and this week is too soon for the 10k so I’ll do a 5k then) I’m really excited to run a 10k, that’d be a stretch.

It feels good to be making improvement!

Orem Summerfest 5k

Ran the 5k in Orem. There were no mile markers or anything, so it was hard for me to gauge my pace. I finished in just under 35 minutes, which works out to be 11:17 pace. I think it’s running with other people you just don’t want to go that much slower than them, etc. That was interesting!

There was like a mile and a half with a pretty good incline on it, and that was good.

I got my first 5k tshirt!
